Administrative Experience as Dean R&D:

 

As a Dean R&D major responsibilities assigned are development of research culture

 

• Streamline project development process across institute along with common format and evaluation parameters as per accreditation guidelines.

 

• All faculty members and students are divided into small research focused domains as per their interest. Currently institute has 30 different domains.

 

• Various domain strengthening activities are initiated along with faculty development Programme and industry collaboration.

 

• Established R&D cell along with its Vision, Mission and Quality Objectives. R&D cell has five years road map and all objectives are tried to achieved as per the same.

 

• Prepare various minor research funding proposals for University of Mumbai (Affiliated body, Govt. of Maharashtra ) along with faculty members. Each Year institute receives good amount of funding form University of Mumbai.

 

• Submitted various funding proposals to AICTE(regulating body, Govt. of India) and received 7.25/- Lacs of grant for Virtualization lab development under MODROB. Institute also received Funding for organizing seminar on National level in 2012.

 

• Established various Centres of Excellence (CoE)along for industry relevant research with National and Multinational companies like

 

• Thakur-TATA Technologies CoE

• Thakur- Texas Instruments, USA CoE

• Thakur-Intel CoE for IoT

• Thakur- Accenture innovation centre

• Thakur- Eduvance lab

 

Experience with Collative Research:

 

• Stated collaborative projects in association with industries where students from various departments are involved to develop one product for industrial usage. One such project with OZZOG company on “Perpetual Machine development”  is completed in 2017 and one on Idli Mixture is completed in 2018.

• Collaborative research culture development initiative is shared amongst University of Mumbai affiliated colleges through Research Meet 2018 and faculty collaboration is established between various colleges. Currently 40 such problems are distribute to various colleges under collaborative research initiative.

• 7 patents are filled under IPR registration across institute.

 

Experience with Entrepreneurship Development:

 

• Established Innovation and Entrepreneurship Develop Centre (IEDC) in association with Department of Science and Technology- DST, Ministry of Science and technology, Government of India with funding of 40+ lacs.

• Currently 10 companies are incubated in Technology development under the capacity of mentor and centre in charge and generated more then 100 jobs.

• One company graduated in  January 2018 with employee strength of 35

• Entrepreneurial Ecosystem is developed with various MoUs with NEN, CSI , 3iZone and other private partners for mentorship and funding to start ups.

 

Experience with Accreditation bodies NAAC and  NBA:

 

• Prepared Self-Assessment Report , NBA for IT department as mentor Dean of department as well as prepare institute for accreditation as Dean R&D

• Prepared Self Study Report, NAAC as Dean R&D and senior leadership team

• As senior leadership level represented institute to various accreditation committee.

• Prepared various frame work for Graduate Attribute measurement and attainment.

• Prepared various mapping rubrics for project evaluation.

• Implemented OBE model across institute as team  member of senior leadership

• Currently institute is NAAC Accredited with “A” grade (for five years ) starting from 2017 and twice NBA Accredited (3 years )

 

 

Experience with Quality Assurance:

 

• ISO 2008 Internal auditor and 2015 transition certified.

 

• Certified examiner of Indian Merchants Chamber Ram Krishna Bajaj National Quality Award (IMCRBNQA) from 2014

 

• Worked as assessor for “Performance Excellence ” award process which is based on Malcom Baldridge  criteria of USA for different international and national organizations. The feedback report submitted after assessing organisations by assessors helped organization to improve their processes and implement various best practices and quality initiatives. • Appointed  as Joint Chief conductor- JCC and squad from University of Mumbai for examination process at various colleges.

• University Coordinator for Avishkar  - project competition at state level organised by  governor of Maharashtra.

• Appointed as Member of Local Inquiry committee - LIC for approval of affiliation of other colleges
